ALBAWABA - German police have discovered explosive devices near the large Jänschwalde coal-fired power plant in Brandenburg, Germany, near the Polish border, local media confirmed Tuesday.Explosive devices have been found at a substation in Turnow-Preilack, Brandenburg, near the Jänschwalde coal plant, according to information obtained by the German Press Agency (DPA). Police reported that possible damage to a power line was discovered around 8:00 a.m. local time today. "Evidence is being secured," a police spokesperson confirmed, adding, "Bombers are on site." The devices in question are so-called improvised explosive devices, according to Tagesspiegel website.No further details were immediately available.The Märkische Allgemeine newspaper reported earlier that emergency services found and defused several devices for rockets equipped with explosives at the site, citing security and company sources. In addition, the newspaper noted the suspected target appears to have been a widespread power outage at Unit E of the coal-fired power plant.
