First launched in spring 2024, the electric Scenic received its first minor update in April 2025 which included one-pedal driving, among other improvements. Under the new model year, Renault is now presenting a comprehensively revised Scenic E-Tech Electric – following recent updates to the Mégane E-Tech Electric and the smaller electric Renault 5.
The new batteries are reserved for the more powerful Scenic E-Tech Electric 220 Long Range version with a 160 kW drivetrain. This variant previously used an 87 kWh NMC battery. In the future, Renault will offer an 89 kWh NMC battery, providing slightly more range and improved fast-charging capability. According to the manufacturer, an LFP battery with 67 kWh will also be available as an alternative “at a later date”. For the lower-powered version, however, Renault has announced no battery changes. This means it will retain the 125 kW drivetrain with the 60 kWh battery (for the E-Tech Electric 170 Comfort Range).
So what does daily use look like with the improved drivetrain? Previously, the electric Scenic achieved up to 625 km of range with a 160 kW drivetrain while offering average DC charging power of 150 kW. According to the datasheet, the charging process from 15 to 80 per cent took 37 minutes.
