The NHS adds this is usually not serious but advises people to seek medical advice if they have concerns.“Following the onset of a mild benign arrhythmia, Scott McTominay will undergo corrective surgery using a cardiac arrhythmia ablation (PFA) in the coming days,” Napoli’s statement on Tuesday read.
“He will be available again after the international break.”The 29-year-old will miss Napoli’s next four matches, including Saturday’s Serie A match at champions Inter and Max Allegri’s side’s Champions League game at home to Arsenal four days later, on September 9.The midfielder will also miss league games against Bologna (September 13) and Fiorentina (September 20), with Napoli returning following this month’s international break against Frosinone on October 11.McTominay is not expected to be available for Scotland’s Nations League matches against Slovenia, Switzerland and North Macedonia during the international break.Arrhythmia can include a fast heartbeat (tachycardia), a slow heartbeat (bradycardia) or an irregular heartbeat where the rhythm changes.The Scotland international has started each of Napoli’s opening two games of the season, the two-goal win at Genoa and Sunday’s home defeat to Como.
