The Tanimu Turaki-led Peoples Democratic Party, on Tuesday, said the group has endorsed the G-100 opposition group to end the twelve-year reign of the All Progressives Congress (APC) by May 29th, 2027.

The group, made up of 100 opposition stalwarts, is driving a process of creating an all-opposition front to challenge the incumbent APC candidate in the 2027 general elections.

Ini Ememobong, National Publicity Secretary of the party’s Interim National Working Committee, in a statement on Tuesday, said they were joining Nigerians ” groaning under economic hardship” to end APC’s reign.

“This decision is informed by the wailings of Nigerians groaning under the repressive Bola Tinubu APC-led Federal Government, and the compelling need to join forces with other credible political forces in search of the country’s redemption.”

Tanimu Turaki, the National Chairman of the group, “Our participation is anchored on the promise that the process will be hinged on the philosophical underpinnings of transparency, equality, data-driven decisions and egalitarianism.
