Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf, has urged Muslims across the state to use the annual Takutaha Maulud celebration to renew their commitment to the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), particularly peace, compassion, justice and tolerance.
Yusuf made the call in a statement issued on Tuesday by his spokesman, Sunusi Dawakin-Tofa, as Muslims in Kano marked the traditional Takutaha event commemorating the birth of the Noble Prophet.
