We have our first Dallas Cowboys 53-man roster after the team cut its group down on Sunday by the 6 p.m. ET deadline.We say "our first" 53-man roster because the group is going to be undergoing changes between now and the start of the season, and those changes could begin as soon as Monday.That's because all of the players who were cut on Sunday are either available in free agency or can be claimed on the waiver wire, which will lead to a frenzy of moves throughout the NFL.For now, we're focused on the Cowboys' initial group. The QB2 battle between Joe Milton and Sam Howell went back and forth, with head coach Brian Schottenheimer admitting it was "neck and neck."Howell seemed to be more consistent throughout training camp and he finished the preseason strong with a better showing than Milton in the finale, but Milton dazzled over the first two games before underperforming in Week 3.All that said, we still don't know who will be the first man off the bench if the worst happens and Dak Prescott gets hurt. Mandatory Credit: Joe Camporeale-Imagn Images | IMAGN IMAGES via Reuters ConnectIt what was the biggest shocker of the Cowboys' 53-man roster cuts, the team did not keep Jaydon Blue, who seemed primed to make the cut throughout the entire offseason and at one point looked to be in position to win the RB2 role.Instead, Malik Davis won the job and the Cowboys decided to only keep two true running backs in Javonte Williams and Davis, and for now Hunter Luepke is the emergency option, although we know he's really a fullback.The Cowboys are going to add another running back on the practice squad. But will Dallas sign one to the 53-man roster? Mandatory Credit: Kevin Jairaj-Imagn Images | IMAGN IMAGES via Reuters ConnectEntering the offseason, the expectation was the Cowboys would only keep five wideouts, and that expectation lasted until Camden Brown happened in training camp and the preseason.The standout UDFA shined with no shortage of highlight plays both in training camp and exhibition play and he certainly deserved his spot on the 53-man roster.That said, keeping six wide receivers might be overkill because chances are Dallas will never get that far down the depth chart. Perhaps Brown's inclusion on the 53-man roster is temporary ahead of the waiver period on Monday.
