More than three-quarters of Canadians back Prime Minister Mark Carney’s decision to abandon trade talks with U.S. President Donald Trump, a new poll suggests.

The Pollara Strategic Insights poll also found 79 per cent agreed with Carney slapping tariffs on American products in retaliation for Trump’s levies on Canadian goods while only 13 per cent disagreed and eight per cent were unsure.
