APC May Drop NRS’ Adedeji, NIMC’s Coker-Odusote From Campaign Council If Barred –Spokesperson

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has said it is reviewing the inclusion of the Chairman of the Nigeria Revenue Service (NRS), Zacch Adedeji, and the Director-General of the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC), Bisoye Coker-Odusote, in its Presidential Campaign Council amid concerns over restrictions on partisan political activities by serving public officials.

The campaign council also appointed Tanimu Yakubu, director-general of the Budget Office of the Federation, as secretary, Finance/Treasurer.

The APC Presidential Campaign Council spokesperson, Kemi Asekun-Shittu, disclosed this on Monday during an appearance on Channels Television’s Morning Brief, while responding to questions about the composition of the party’s campaign council ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The interviewer had raised questions about whether serving officials such as Adedeji and Coker-Odusote could participate in partisan political activities, given applicable civil service rules and regulations.
