The Presidency has said the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential campaign council list for the 2027 election remains valid but could be adjusted where necessary, dismissing reports that the list had been withdrawn or subjected to a wholesale review.

The clarification followed criticism from opposition parties and reports that the ruling party had withdrawn the list released at the weekend over the inclusion of some serving government officials and political figures.

Sunday Dare, special adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Media and Public Communication, made the clarification on Wednesday during an interview on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily.

Dare said the list had not been withdrawn, noting that the APC was still working on the subcommittees that would form part of the campaign structure.

“As it is with every other list, there’s a room for subcommittees. Those subcommittees have not been formed, and so many other names will come into that subcommittee,” Dare said.
