COTABATO CITY – A deputy commander of the New People’s Army (NPA) and 15 other members have formally surrendered to the government in separate ceremonies held in Palimbang and Kalamansig towns in Sultan Kudarat province over the weekend.

The 16 surrenderees were members of the Manobo Dulangan Indigenous Peoples (IP) tribe and belong to the NPA’s Sub-Regional Committee Daguma (SRC-Daguma) of the Far South Mindanao Region.
