PAGADIAN CITY, ZAMBOANGA DEL SUR, Philippines — The leader and a member of a criminal group surrendered and were formally served their warrants of arrest during a joint activity by authorities in Barangay Sanito, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay on Monday, May 25.

The two were identified as Yasher Indal Hassan, alias “Almain Apidol Labain,” recognized as the group’s leader, and Mahmod Kalim, a member operating in Zamboanga Sibugay province.

Warrants of arrest for various crimes and offenses were served, including murder, three counts of frustrated murder, eight counts of attempted murder, violation of Republic Act No. 10591, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act, and Presidential Decree No. 1866 for illegal possession of firearms, ammunition, and explosives.
