Monday is Rio’s great samba day, and its warmest institution is Samba do Trabalhador. For two decades, Moacyr Luz and friends have played a roots-samba roda every Monday at the Renascença Clube in Andaraí, an all-ages, joyful, unpretentious afternoon-into-evening affair.
