Broadcom is about to put its money where its mouth is. When the company reports fiscal Q3 2026 earnings after the bell on September 2, investors will be looking for confirmation that its AI semiconductor business hit roughly $16 billion in quarterly revenue, a number that would represent more than 200% growth year-over-year.

The numbers Wall Street is watching

Broadcom’s own guidance pegs total revenue for the quarter at approximately $29.4 billion, which would mark an 84% increase compared to the same period last year. The AI semiconductor segment is expected to carry the heaviest load, with that $16 billion figure serving as the headline metric investors will measure everything against.

The company enters this report with momentum. In Q2 FY2026, Broadcom posted record consolidated revenue of $22.2 billion, a 48% jump from the prior year. AI semiconductor revenue specifically came in at $10.8 billion, reflecting 143% year-over-year growth. The company also reported a record adjusted EBITDA margin of 69%.

For Q3, management has guided non-GAAP operating margin to roughly 67%. As Broadcom’s product mix tilts further toward custom silicon designed for hyperscaler clients, margins could face structural pressure even as top-line numbers soar.
