Two men have been arrested after a boy died in a crash between an off-road bike and a car yesterday evening.The boy, four, was a passenger on the off-road bike and was pronounced dead at the scene on Churchill Drive, Newark, after the crash, which took place around 6pm.A 24-year-old man who was riding on the same bike was hospitalised with serious injuries and arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.Another man, 32, was arrested today on the same grounds.Nottinghamshire Police said the off-road bike had been travelling with another bike, whose rider left the scene of the crash before officers arrived. Detective Inspector Jamie Moore, of Nottinghamshire Police's serious collision investigation unit, said: 'This is a tragic incident and our thoughts are with the boy's loved ones at this incredibly distressing time.'They are being supported by specialist family liaison officers and kept informed about the investigation.'As we learn to understand exactly what happened, I'd urge anyone who can assist with information or footage to contact police without delay.'
