Given the show is filmed about a year in advance, they had plenty of updates for viewers to catch up on.The dating show sees hopeful singles go on blind dates in pods before potentially getting engaged to someone they've never seen. If they choose to get engaged, couples meet face-to-face for the first time before jetting off on holiday and planning their wedding just weeks later.Unlike other dating formats, the marriages on Love Is Blind UK are 100 per cent legally binding under UK law. This means contestants who say 'I do' enter into a real, recognised marriage with all the legal implications.Past participant Benaiah Grunewald-Bridi, who wed on the first UK series, revealed the legal bit isn't actually shown. He revealed: "Actually we said our vows and then they paused filming for us to sign the legal documents, and then got the cameras rolling again."Showrunner Naz Karim explained the show's approach to such a huge milestone, explaining: "We empower them throughout and if we feel any couple or individual isn't fully ready before the wedding day, we give them an out."
