Mercedes-AMG is expanding the electric CLA lineup with a particularly high-performance variant. The new CLA 45 4MATIC+ features the axial-flow motor technology that Mercedes-AMG recently introduced in the GT 4-door. The performance and sports car brand AMG is pricing the sedan version starting at 79,039 euros (gross) and the Shooting Brake starting at 80,408 euros.

These purchase prices apply to Germany, so delivery costs or costs for factory pickup must also be factored in. Mercedes-Benz has so far offered the CLA in three rear-wheel-drive versions (CLA 200, CLA 250, and CLA 250+) as well as an all-wheel-drive version called the CLA 350 4MATIC.

The electric model series is considered a beacon of hope within the company and the launch got off to a promising start. After Mercedes’ sales of battery-electric vehicles declined in 2025, the Mercedes-Benz Group’s global BEV deliveries rose again by 11 per cent to 50,400 vehicles in the first quarter of 2026. The new CLA series is considered a key driver of this growth. According to the manufacturer, demand for the model has led to three-shift production at its plant in Rastatt in the southwest of Germany. With the CLA 45, Mercedes-AMG is now expanding the model lineup to include a performance variant.
