Strategy Inc.’s recent financial maneuvers have led to a decrease in Bitcoin per diluted MSTR share, following a mixed allocation of funds from MSTR issuance towards STRC buybacks, dividends, and Bitcoin purchases. The company spent $202.5 million on STRC buybacks and dividends and $369.7 million on Bitcoin, causing diluted shares to rise by 1.079% while Bitcoin holdings grew by only 0.548%. This resulted in a 0.526% decrease in gross Bitcoin per share. The funding strategy appears to indicate potential weakness in STRC value, which might impact the market’s outlook on STRC’s performance.
The market’s response to these developments is evident in the prediction market odds for STRC reaching $100 by the end of the year. The funding strategy and the resulting dilution in Bitcoin per share seem to have influenced the perception of STRC’s value. Market participants have adjusted their expectations, as evidenced by the decrease in the likelihood of STRC hitting $100 by September 30, with odds dropping from 48% to 42.5% over 24 hours.
Despite the recent changes in share and Bitcoin holdings, the odds for STRC hitting $100 by December 31 have risen to 83.5%, up from 80% a day earlier. This suggests that while there is short-term skepticism about STRC’s immediate prospects, there is still longer-term optimism for a potential rebound in the final quarter of 2026.
