XRP touched roughly $1.70 around August 22, logging its best weekly gain since late 2024. The catalyst wasn’t a tweet or a meme. It was money, specifically the institutional kind, pouring into spot XRP exchange-traded funds at a pace that 2026 hadn’t seen until now.
Spot XRP ETFs pulled in $110.49 million in net inflows during the week ending August 28. That figure represents the highest weekly total this year and pushed cumulative inflows to approximately $1.66 billion, a fresh all-time record for the product class that only launched in November 2025.
The ETF engine behind the rally
Bitwise led the charge with about $59.95 million flowing into its XRP fund during that peak week. Cumulatively, the Bitwise product has attracted nearly $600 million since inception, making it the dominant vehicle for institutional XRP exposure.
Franklin Templeton’s offering contributed roughly $28.7 million during the same stretch. Together, these two funds accounted for the lion’s share of the weekly total.
