September will begin with unsettled weather across Finland, with rain expected somewhere in the country each day and weekly totals exceeding 50 millimetres in parts of Lapland, according to a forecast from Foreca.

South-westerly airflows from the Atlantic will continue to shape conditions as Finland remains within a broad area of low pressure.

Foreca expects successive rain bands and low-pressure systems to cross the country during the first week of September. The pattern will also produce dry periods and sunshine between showers.
