Strategy has resumed buying Bitcoin after pausing new purchases for about 10 weeks.
According to a filing released on Monday, the largest crypto treasury added 4,603 BTC for approximately $370 million between Aug. 24 and Aug. 30, bringing its total holdings to 845,050 BTC worth about $66 billion.
The company paid an average of $80,318 per Bitcoin for the latest purchase. Its Bitcoin holdings have generated more than $2 billion in unrealized gains.
The latest acquisition was financed through Strategy’s MSTR at-the-market offering. Last week, the company sold about 4.5 million MSTR shares and received nearly $603 million in net proceeds.
Strategy allocated nearly $370 million of those proceeds to Bitcoin, $152 million to repurchase STRC preferred stock, more than $50 million to STRC dividend payments and $30 million to its USD Cash liquidity account.
