Ford Ranger owners urged to act over airbag safety recall.
THOUSANDS of Ford Ranger Double Cab owners are being urged to have their vehicles checked after the National Consumer Commission (NCC) announced a safety recall affecting 2,275 vehicles.
The recall applies to Ford Ranger Double Cab vehicles produced for the 2026 and 2027 model years.
According to the NCC, Ford reported a potential problem involving the side curtain airbags and the B-pillar trim in the affected vehicles.
If the side curtain airbag deploys, it may interact with the B-pillar trim and prevent the airbag from deploying as intended. The B-pillar component may also detach during deployment and become a projectile, increasing the risk of injury to people inside the vehicle.
