Glassdoor’s research found that older employees hold a higher opinion of certain AI functions, compared to their younger peers.
Recruitment platform Glassdoor, using employee reviews, has issued a report exploring the attitudes of employees towards the implementation of AI in the workplace. More specifically, it looks at how the different generations and demographics view it.
Reportedly, Glassdoor reviews were up 240pc from May 2025 to May 2026. Historically reviews previously mentioned AI in a positive way, 81pc were positive in 2019, but now are becoming increasingly negative, falling to only 43pc positive, 4pc mixed, and 53pc negative in 2026.
Perhaps unexpectedly, older generations, aged 40 and up, were found to be more accepting of workplace AI, regarding the technology as a creator of opportunities, especially for those in senior level positions.
Younger generations however, were found to be warier, with many of the opinion that the rise of AI has coincided negatively with a drop in the availability of entry-level opportunities.
