SAN ANTONIO, Zambales — The developer of a project inside the Subic Bay Freeport said it would submit to full transparency and accountability as authorities investigate a landslide that killed two workers and injured two others over the weekend.
In a statement on Monday (Aug. 31), Xantheng (Subic) International Corp. (XSIC), the management arm of the Tipo Hightech Eco Park, said it immediately responded and coordinated with the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) and other relevant agencies for site assessment, verification and appropriate measures.
An Aug. 29 erosion along Tipo Road had killed a Chinese employee and a Filipino worker, after they were caught by the moving soil. Two others were injured.
