Crypto fund flows just did the financial equivalent of a 180-degree handbrake turn. Bank of America’s weekly “The Flow Show” report shows $3.2 billion in net inflows into crypto funds for the week ending in late August 2026, the largest single-week haul since October 2025.
To put the swing in perspective: the prior week saw $392 million in outflows. That’s a roughly $3 billion week-over-week reversal.
Where the money went
US spot Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs did the heavy lifting, collectively pulling in about $2.6 billion of the total during the week ending August 22, 2026.
Bitcoin ETFs alone accounted for $1.9 billion. Ethereum ETFs contributed $697 million. The remaining $600 million or so in inflows landed across other crypto fund vehicles. Together Bitcoin and Ethereum represented roughly 81% of the week’s total inflows.
