More men are seeking cosmetic procedures and everyday habits to keep a youthful, attractive appearance as they age. Dr. Krishna Vyas said the trend reflects how they feel inside, and stigma around men’s procedures has eased over the past 20 years. Men now account for about 15 percent of cosmetic procedure patients in the United States. Vyas also warned that nonsurgical treatments can have side effects and recommended basic habits such as quitting nicotine, using sunscreen, managing weight, treating hair loss early and exercising.

Dr. Krishna Vyas of Fleckman Plastic Surgery in New York told Fox News that “age is not the issue.” He explained that people tend to seek change when they look in the mirror and feel that their appearance no longer reflects who they feel they are inside.
