Leeds United and Brentford played out a 1-1 draw at Elland Road on August 30, 2026. Brentford looked the sharper side for long stretches, but a late Dominic Calvert-Lewin goal ensured the home crowd didn’t go home empty-handed.
Kevin Schade gave Brentford the lead in the 41st minute, finishing off a well-worked move with an assist from Keane Lewis-Potter. Calvert-Lewin answered in the 79th minute with a close-range effort, set up by Lukas Nmecha, to level things up and earn Daniel Farke’s side a share of the spoils.
A tale of two halves, sort of
Brentford came into this fixture riding high after a commanding 3-0 victory over Tottenham earlier in the season. Keith Andrews’ side carried that confidence into the first half at Elland Road, controlling possession and creating the better chances before Schade broke the deadlock four minutes before halftime.
Lewis-Potter, who has been a growing presence in Brentford’s attack, delivered the assist that carved open Leeds’ backline.
