MANILA, Philippines — Four parcels of alleged illegally reclaimed land in Taguig City have been identified with “fraudulently” issued titles that will be turned over to the Office of the Ombudsman for investigation, Sen. Panfilo Lacson disclosed on Saturday.
In a post on X, formerly Twitter, the senator shared an update regarding the investigation of infrastructure and reclamation projects in Taguig City, saying at least four parcels of illegally reclaimed land have been discovered to date.
Lacson said in a statement that he publicly shared the initial findings to “to dispel insinuations” that his disclosures regarding the alleged anomalies were “fake news”.
According to Lacson, the parcels covered areas ranging from 5,000 to 193,027 square meters. All four were processed through various patent and land registration procedures, namely:
