Many filling stations across the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) have increased the pump price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), popularly known as petrol.

The development came despite a decline in international crude oil prices from 92 dollars per barrel to 87.31 dollars per barrel.

Brent crude stood at 88.10 dollars per barrel, down 0.47 per cent, while West Texas Intermediate (WTI) fell 0.16 per cent to 83.40 dollars per barrel.

The News Agency of Nigeria reports that Dangote Refinery increased its gantry price (ex-depot price) from N1,165 per litre to N1,185, and subsequently to N1,200 and N1,265 within the last one week.
