Security agency doesn’t specify nature of threat or who was behind it, days after PM said that Iran had tried to ‘murder one of my sons’

The Shin Bet security agency confirmed on Saturday that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s son, Yair, was returned to Israel from Miami after a threat to his life.
The agency’s comments came after a report earlier this week that the younger Netanyahu was the target of an Iranian assassination plot in December 2025, while he was living in Florida. The reports surfaced after Netanyahu told the pro-government Channel 14 in a phone interview that “Iran targeted one of my sons. Iran tried to kill, to murder one of my sons.”
