A Chennai-based endodontist V. Gopikrishna has reportedly become the first Indian to head the International Federation of Endodontic Associations (IFEA). He took over as President on Saturday at the 15th World Endodontic Congress in Sydney, Australia. IFEA is the apex global body representing national endodontic associations and societies across 49 countries. Dr. Gopikrishna is the founder-director of Root Canal Foundation in Chennai and is the author-editor of Grossman’s Endodontic Practice. He is also serving as Secretary General of the Indian Endodontic Society. “This is a proud moment for Indian dentistry. During my term as IFEA President, I aim to improve global patient awareness about saving our own natural teeth through endodontic procedures,” said Dr. Gopikrishna.
