This morning, police officer Oleksiш Zahvazdin was killed as a result of Russian shelling in the Kharkiv region.
The National Police of Ukraine reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.
“This morning, Russian forces launched a ballistic strike on a village in the Berestyn district. A community police officer from the prevention sector of the Berestyn District Police Department was killed while performing his duties. As a result of the enemy shelling, Oleksii sustained fatal injuries,” the statement reads.
It is noted that his last place of service was the Prevention Sector of the Berestyn District Police Department, where Oleksii served as a community police officer.
