Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC) Commissioner Ketan Garg on Saturday directed officials to formulate a comprehensive action plan for providing road connectivity, bulk water supply and other essential infrastructure to Myra Bay View Resorts, being developed by the Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (APTDC) in the hill area near Nerellavalasa in Bheemunipatnam zone.The Commissioner conducted a field inspection of the resort, which is currently under construction. He reviewed the proposals relating to the approach road, bulk water supply connection and other development works and closely examined the proposed road construction plan.During the inspection, the Commissioner directed VMRDA Chief Engineer Vinay Kumar to prepare and submit a report detailing the total length of the proposed approach road, estimated construction cost, funds to be provided by the government and the share to be borne by the resort.He also reviewed the proposed bulk water supply arrangements for resorts with GVMC Superintending Engineer Pallam Raju. He examined the proposals for laying the required pipeline and establishing a pump house and overhead tank, along with the estimated cost, funds to be provided in accordance with the government directions and the share to be contributed by resorts.
