Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC) Commissioner Ketan Garg has directed Engineering and Town Planning officials to expedite the ongoing 100-foot road- widening works from Kurmannapalem to Duvvada in Gajuwaka.During an inspection on Saturday, Mr. Garg also instructed officials to prepare proposals for the installation of street lighting and beautification of Ravula Cheruvu in Kurmannapalem in Ward No. 86. He inspected the road-widening works and the lake along with former corporator Lella Koteswara Rao and officials concerned.Mr. Koteswara Rao said that development of Ravula Cheruvu, a rain-fed water body, would help improve water availability in the surrounding localities.
