There is no world left: Nepal survivors confront devastation after deadly floods
Survivors were airlifted to safety as rescue teams battled bad weather and cleared debris after a devastating glacier-triggered flood hit Nepal’s Himalayan region bordering Tibet. At least 626 people have died in Nepal, with nearly 3,000 still missing, including hundreds of foreign nationals. Nepal now faces an estimated $4–5 billion reconstruction challenge.
