Two Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel saved a passenger from falling off a moving train at Perambur railway station on Sunday.The incident occurred around 5.58 a.m on Sunday when train No. 12672, bound for Chennai from Mangaluru, was departing from Platform 1 of Perambur station.According to officials, the passenger had boarded the train to retrieve his mobile phone. As the train began moving, he attempted to get down, lost his balance on the footboard and was in danger of falling.RPF Head Constable G. Udhayakumar and Woman Head Constable Sherlin James, who noticed the passenger in distress, ran alongside the moving train and pulled him to safety. The train’s guard also stopped the train immediately.The RPF personnel were appreciated for their quick response, alertness, and courage in averting a major accident and saving the passenger’s life.
