Kinza Hashmi, Zara Noor Abbas and Ushna Shah are set to share the screen in Saqib Khan and Badar Mehmood’s upcoming film Sheroes.
The poster for the film, which says it has “three women, three battles, one nation”, was released on Friday by Sindh Films — the Government of Sindh’s initiative to promote the province’s culture through film — which worked with Geo Films on the project.
In the poster, Abbas is seen aiming a pistol and wearing a bulletproof vest, possibly indicating her character is in law enforcement.
Shah’s character is shown wearing boxing gloves, so we can safely assume she’s in martial arts, likely as a professional or aspiring athlete. Hashmi’s character, although fashionably dressed, is harder to pin down without any obvious workwear or uniform.
The poster’s caption says the film has “three powerful stories of women who refuse to be defined by the world around them”. Could this be hinting at the narrative being anthological rather than one big story?
