FBI Threatens To Cut Ties With Canadian Agencies Over CBC's Refusal To Call 9/11 'Terrorist Attacks'

The FBI has described the September 11 attacks as the deadliest terrorist attacks in history.

The controversy surrounding the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation’s (CBC) reporting guidelines on the September 11, 2001 attacks has escalated, with FBI Director Kash Patel warning that Canadian institutions that fail to reject the broadcaster’s position could lose the FBI’s goodwill.

Patel reacted after CBC came under heavy criticism for directing its journalists not to independently describe the September 11 attacks in the United States as “terrorist attacks.”

“Any agency in Canada that doesn’t publicly reject this bastardization of history, and an insult to the souls lost during our largest terrorist attack in US history will no longer have friend in this FBI,” Patel wrote on X.

“Not to mention our heroes that responded in the aftermath. We will never forget 9-11.”
