BIR, Ayala develop AI tax assistant to speed up processes

MANILA, Philippines — The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) and Ayala Corp. are developing an AI-powered tax assistant to help the tax agency’s personnel find and analyze tax rules more quickly.

The tool, named Terry the Tax AI Assistant, will allow BIR personnel to search, cross-reference, and analyze tax regulations, rulings, issuances, and other official tax materials.
