Andhra Pradesh State Commission for Protection of Child Rights chairman Vetukuri Suryanarayana Raju on Friday directed Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Konaseema Superintendent of Police Rahul Meena to ensure the safety of a 10-year-old boy whose grandfather, Assistant Engineer Nooka Raju, died along with his wife and daughter after they jumped into the Godavari on August 16.The boy was rescued by locals, while Nooka Raju, his wife and daughter died. Kakinada-based Sk. Sadhik Khan was arrested in connection with the case.Mr. Suryanarayana Raju held discussions with Kakinada police, Education Department officials and the management of the school where the boy is studying in Class V. He reviewed the case and sought details about any possible threats to the boy’s life.In an official release, Mr. Suryanarayana Raju said he had directed Mr. Meena to ensure the boy’s security against any threats.
