Nigeria’s Falconets began their final preparations for the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup with a 1-0 victory over Poland in an international friendly on Friday at the Municipal Stadium, Brzeg, Poland.
Mary Mamudu scored the only goal of the encounter as the Falconets secured the win against the Poland U-20 women’s side.
The official Super Falcons X account confirmed the result after the final whistle on Friday, reporting that Mamudu’s goal in the first half handed Nigeria the victory.
The forward struck in first-half stoppage time, scoring in the 45th minute plus one to give Nigeria a 1-0 lead going into the interval.
Neither side could find the net after the restart as Nigeria held on to claim victory in their first of two scheduled warm-up matches in Poland.
