Nigeria’s U-20 Women’s National Team, the Falconets, have intensified preparations for the 2026 U-20 Women’s World Cup after settling into their training base in Trzebnica, Poland, ahead of the global showpiece, PUNCH Sports Extra reports.
The two-time U-20 Women’s World Cup silver medallists took to the pitch on Wednesday for their first training session at the Stadion Miejski, Fair Play Arena, with players and coaching staff showing sharp focus as they build towards the tournament.
Having touched down in Poland on Tuesday, the girls wasted little time getting to work, with Head Coach Moses Aduku’s technical crew structuring sessions around tactical shape, ball work, fitness and unity within the group.
Two warm-up matches have been lined up to further sharpen the squad, with Nigeria taking on hosts Poland on Friday, August 28, before a second outing against South Korea on Tuesday, September 1.
Both fixtures are designed to help the players adjust to European conditions, expose them to varied styles of opposition and give the coaching staff a clearer read on the group’s readiness before the tournament proper begins.
