Recently, I have been dedicating a lot of time to learning programming and understanding how Artificial Intelligence can change the way we develop software. My goal is to become a Backend Developer, working behind applications and building systems, APIs and solutions that actually work well.
Right now, I am studying C, Java, JavaScript, Python and SQL. Each language teaches me something different. Sometimes it can be difficult to learn several technologies at the same time, especially because I am still building my foundation, but I believe this is also helping me understand programming as a whole.
One of the challenges I have faced is realizing that I don't want to just memorize commands or use ready-made functions, I want to understand how they actually work. When I started studying JavaScript for example, I tried to implement some array methods manually, such as forEach. It was an interesting experience because I started to understand the logic behind something I used to simply use.
I have also started exploring Artificial Intelligence and AI-assisted development. I discovered tools like OpenCode and Ollama, and started experimenting with models that can run locally. The idea of having an AI helping me analyze projects, files and even execute commands really caught my attention.
