Kenya is set to become the launchpad for Africa’s next international modelling star, with the 2026 edition of Africa’s Next Super Model kicking off in Nairobi tomorrow (August 29).
The competition has received official endorsement from the Ministry of Tourism, signalling growing recognition of fashion and modelling as platforms for showcasing Kenya’s culture, creativity and talent to the world.
The scouting campaign will run through September, with castings taking place across the country, including Turkana and Maasai communities, as organisers seek to discover talent beyond Kenya’s major cities.
The wider continental search will feature aspiring models from Kenya, Angola, Côte d’Ivoire, Togo, Benin, Ghana, Rwanda, Chad, the Democratic Republic of Congo, South Sudan and Ethiopia, among other countries.
