File: Signing the Peace Accord in 2023.

With five months to the 2027 general elections, the National Peace Committee, NPC, chaired by former Head of State, Abdulsalami Abubakar, in partnership with The Kukah Centre on August 18, 2026 brought together presidential candidates and national chairpersons of political parties participating in the elections at the International Conference Centre, Abuja. There, they signed a National Peace Accord with the aim of promoting and sustaining peace before, during and after the elections.
