The reservoir lies in the Hrabovská Valley, beside the cable car to the Malinô Brdo resort, and is surrounded by the Veľká Fatra mountains. Its upper section is suitable for swimming, with steps and a handrail providing access to the water, regional tourism organisation Visit Liptov told Pravda.
There is one catch: even on the hottest summer days, the water reaches only about 19°C. Swimming is also at visitors’ own risk.
