Sandisk Corporation (NASDAQ:SNDK) on Thursday disclosed a significant investment in Japan with with Kioxia Corporation, a subsidiary of Kioxia Holdings Corporation (TYO:285).
The company plans to invest more than $31 billion, or approximately 5 trillion yen, through 2032, subject to government support.
Details
The investments will support the continued expansion of infrastructure at the Yokkaichi and Kitakami plants, along with related infrastructure and technology, in line with market trends.
The companies said they will continue to advance technology to meet rising demand in an increasingly AI-driven and data-centric world.
