BJP State unit president Nainar Nagenthran on Thursday sought an apology Tamil Nadu from Industries Minister S. Keerthana over her comments about former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. He accused her of “distorting history”.Sharing a video clipping in which Ms. Keerthana was heard talking about Madurai activist Chinnapillai, Mr. Nagenthran said the Padma Shri recipient was working for the empowerment of women and former PM Vajpayee had fallen at her feet to seek her blessings in 2001.“But, Industries Minister Keerthana, while speaking in the Assembly, said Chinnapillai had invented O-ring that prevented oil leak in hydraulic system and for that former PM Vajpayee visited her at her house and fell at her feet to seek blessings,” Mr. Nagenthran said.The Minister’s comments were not only derisive but condemnable, the BJP leader said and further rejected her explanation over her comments.
