The toll in the flash flood and mudslide in Nepal increased to 359. Search and rescue operations continued as more than 1,380 persons were missing.At least 288 Indian citizens in Nepal are “uncontactable”, Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said. He said that the numbers are based on preliminary information and are expected to change. This translates into a haircut of approximately 99.9%.Since 2022, Chandra has been the subject of insolvency proceedings filed by Indiabulls Housing Finance Limited, now known as Sammaan Capital.Chandra had stood as a personal guarantor for a Rs 170-crore loan given to a firm, Vivek Infracon.
