BlackRock has scooped up 27,722 Bitcoin and 385,633 Ethereum over an eight-day stretch, representing roughly $2 billion in BTC and $961 million in ETH acquisitions through its spot ETF products.
The buying spree, tracked by on-chain analytics firm Arkham Intelligence, adds to what has already been a banner month for BlackRock’s digital asset portfolio. By late August 2026, the firm’s total crypto assets under management had ballooned to $68.48 billion, up from $53.36 billion earlier in the month. That’s a $15.11 billion increase in a single month, driven by a combination of fresh capital inflows and rising asset prices.
Inside the numbers
BlackRock’s flagship Bitcoin ETF, IBIT, recorded approximately $1.33 billion in net inflows over a five-day period in mid-August alone. Its Ethereum counterparts, ETHA and ETHB, pulled in roughly $537 million during the same window.
A particularly aggressive 48-hour stretch around August 21 saw BlackRock-affiliated wallets absorb 11,098 BTC and 132,769 ETH, a haul worth approximately $1 billion.
