Following Russia’s massive overnight attack, Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha called on Ukraine’s partners to strengthen protection for Ukrainian grain exports and civilian shipping in the Black Sea.
The Foreign Minister wrote this on social media platform X, according to Ukrinform.
Sybiha said Russia launched a massive overnight attack on Ukraine, targeting ports, grain storage facilities, energy and industrial infrastructure, and other facilities with ballistic and hypersonic missiles and combat drones.
“This is state terrorism. It does not show strength; it shows helplessness. Putin cannot and will not achieve anything on the battlefield. Instead, he is betting on terrorizing our cities, ports, and critical infrastructure,” Sybiha said.
He stressed that attacks on grain infrastructure, ports and maritime routes are particularly harmful not only to Ukraine but also to approximately 400 million people around the world. In this context, the minister noted that one hectare of Ukrainian farmland provides food for 18 people worldwide.
